Foundation & Geotechnical Engineering, LLC (FGE) offers Construction
Training Qualification Program courses required by the Florida
Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Drilled Shaft and
Pile Driving Inspection. Please follow the menu links for
course schedules.
Our instructors are not only well versed with the department's
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, but are
also extremely knowledgeable and experienced with FDOT construction
projects. This is what sets FGE's instructors apart from the rest.
By choosing FGE as your training facilitators, you will be gaining a
practical-hands-on-approach to inspecting drilled shafts and driven
piles.
The courses are typically designed to run 2 days from 8 AM to 5 PM,
with an exam on day 3 following homework review. The open-book
exams are multiple choice. There is also a proficiency exam for
the Drilled Shaft course that includes demonstration to test for
density, viscosity, sand content and pH of slurry. The Drilled
Shaft written exam is 2 hours long and the Driven Pile written exam
is also 2 hours long.
The Drilled Shaft and Driven Pile Inspector Qualification courses
are stand-alone training courses developed to provide a basis for
state qualification of personnel as Inspectors on FDOT Projects.
The goal of these courses is to provide Inspectors with the
practical knowledge, accepted standard Industry practices and SSRBC
Specifications for fulfilling the role of a Drilled Shaft or Driven
Pile Inspector.
Contact Larry Spears at (813) 759-2426 if you have questions
regarding the CTQP courses.
Thank you for choosing FGE!
